RiDICulous Classes This Week

A tree, this morning

So yeah, my last three classes have been lots of fun – Gentle Yoga on Sunday, Basic on Monday, and last night’s Yoga I. I always set my sights high, and of course they were not perfection according to my everpresent inner critic, but I came away feeling that the flow of all the classes was fine and the feeling throughout class was loose and fun. All classes were well-attended. I ticked many of the boxes that I intended to, I felt like I had my voice goin’ on, and there was a very bare minimum of AWKS moments (maybe one or two in over four hours). Yay.

Note on language: A young teacher described her sessions with Shiva Rea recently as riDICulous, in a good sense, so that’s a fun bit of language, yeah? Someone could write a book on the constant stream of words that can mean something pejorative which have been pressed into service to mean “cool” or “great”. Totally illin’, baby. And while I’m on the subject, AWKS, btw, is another neologism I’m grabbing from the mouths of babes in the woods.
